The food was good and the lobby of the restaurant/hotel was nice looking but VERY loud! I had dinner at JP Atlanta and live music was playing in the lobby and it was terrible! But, despite the terrible music, the food and dessert were both outstanding!!
I am originally from NY, but would definitely return to this restaurant the next time I am in Atlanta. -

Came in and the place was empty. the bartender gives us a food menu and took our drink order and we asked for water. Drinks came but no water. 20 minutes later I ask a different bartender for water. Get water. Another 15 minutes go the bartender finally reappears and we tell her we wanted to order. We place out order. We learn later after we received our food that the kitchen had been closed for like 20 minutes. If the bartender had told us that we would have not ordered anything. it was about 2ish pm by the way.
All in all good food and drinks horriable service -

Ok the food is pretty descent here but I am giving 3 stars for it's very slow service.
I had lunch here with a big group during weekday. I got the salmon. It was really good. BUT the wait was SO long, it probably took 20 minutes to get our orders, then another 40 minutes to get our food. Or maybe longer?? The restaurant was empty by the way. Also the portion is super small. I don't know if I can come back for another group lunch, but it is a good option for a nice sit down lunch in the area. -

After days of being at a conference and eating either reception food or food out of a box, my friend and I needed a real dinner. The JP menu looked good online, and when we arrived, the place was almost completely deserted (it was a Monday night). The short version -- the food was good, but the service was very poor.
Our waiter knew nothing about the wine list. With 8-10 sparkling options in the $12/glass range, I want a recommendation. He went to the bar to ask and did offer a tasting, but sheesh. Plus, once we settled on a choice, it took approximately forever to actually receive our wine. As in, my friend nearly got up to go to the bar to ask for it. And it was served in the large flat glasses, rather than flutes, even though the bubbles stay better in flutes.
Our waiter was similarly uninformed about the food menu. We had to ask about the fish of the day (halibut), which, after I ordered, he returned to tell me was a different preparation that he had described. I asked him to substitute another vegetable for mashed potatoes (which seems heavy for fish), and ended up with a very nice halibut, some kind of sauce (he never mentioned it), and green beans, fava beans, and asparagus.
And of course, we had to wait for the check and for him to pick it up, and my friend did not receive an itemized receipt and so had to ask for that also. For a $50 meal plus tip, I was underwhelmed. Surely there are restaurants nearby with similar quality of food but better service. -

Incredibly slow service. Like shockingly slow. Two and one half hours to get our food. We could not believe it. To pass the time, we started challenging each other with online riddles. That soon grew boring. The food still didn't arrive. Tick tock. Tick tock. Is there a kitchen?? Why didn't we just walk out?? We considered it, but felt trapped and reasoned if we left, we might wait again somewhere else. And still we waited.
Are you growing tired reading this review? Imagine how tired you would be in this restaurant waiting for dinner ... After you spent all day at a business conference. Epic fail.
When the food finally came it was "passable." "Decent." Several in our party of 12 said it was "okay." We were so hungry and exhausted, we devoured our food and paid our bill.
Need to note here that the wait staff was courteous and, most assuredly, embarrassed. I feel very sorry for them working here.
